SailGP

San Francisco Bay

SailGP, the most exciting racing on water, will return to the Bay Area for the San Francisco Sail Grand Prix, March 22-23, 2025. Racing faster than the wind at speeds approaching 60 miles per hour, the sport is powered by nature—wind, sea, and sun—with a top prize of $7 million at stake over the season.

KNBR/Giants FanFest

Oracle Park

On March 8, fans can participate in an array of interactive games and displays on the Field, Promenade, and Club levels at the KNBR & Giants FanFest. Members of the Giants team will be on hand to sign autographs, pose for photos and participate in Q&A sessions. FanFest is FREE and open to the public.

Flower Bulb Day

Union Square 

Flower Bulb Day is coming to America! On March 22, 2025, a colorful display of more than 80,000 tulips will cover Union Square in Downtown SF. You are invited to visit the square and pick your own bunch of tulips. Flower power! 

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Second and Market streets to Civic Center

One of San Francisco's largest annual parades and one of the longest-running parades in the U.S. is celebrated with live music, dance, beverages and traditional Irish cuisine. The parade will take place Saturday, March 15 and begin on the corner of 2nd & Market Street.

Sonoma International Film Festival

Named one of the "25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World" by Movie Maker MagazineSonoma International Film Festival showcases over 100 hand-selected films screened in seven state-of-the-art venues within walking distance of the Sonoma Plaza. Earth Hour

Major cities around the world, including San Francisco, show that the simple act of turning off lights for one hour can have a lasting impact on climate change starting at 8:30 p.m. on March 22.

Superfine Art Fair

Fort Mason

Indulge in 4 days of art from March 6 to 9 at Fort Mason. This fair will include more than 150 artists, dozens of installations, in-fair programs and opportunities to connect with creators from the Bay Area and beyond.

Free Programs in Union Square Plaza

Every week, you can enjoy a variety of free activities in the middle of Union Square. From chess lessons and live music to crafting activities and juggling demonstrations, these programs are perfect for visitors of all ages. Be sure to stop by every second Saturday for special cultural activities, showcasing the diversity of San Francisco.
